Kitchen Update #1 Jan.7, 2010
Okay, this is where we left off. We tore out the wall between the kitchen and the spare room next to it.
Then we had enough space, so put in an attic ladder.
Then we cleaned out the attic, and installed new insulation. That took a while.
It gives us better access for the electicals. It was annoying blown-in fluff before.
So, after a break, and after Christmas we gutted the spare room.
Here it is before.
We took out the carpeting and underlayment, got some fun new cordless tools...
And took down the ceiling.
And the walls.
And then removed the floor too. This is me chiseling out the corners of the door jamb area.
At this point, we had to go around the outside of the house to get from the kitchen to the living room...
First sheet down.
Whew. All done.
So here's where we are now. Looks good, huh?
We're going to take out the cabinets behind the fridge and start rewiring next.
