Kitchen Update 4

Here's where we left off last time:    installing the stove.  We didn't want a hood over it so got the JennAir

downdraft unit.  It looks and works great.   The grates are black like they should be, and the surface under

them is smooth and easy to clean.   I love it.

Here's the island setup.    The veneer for the sides of those cabinets wasn't in my order so I just put cork

on there for the time being.    We have to get some more cabinets and hardware anyway ...

I really like the drawers-  way easier on my back.     These are 24 inches wide and fit a full size cookie sheet.

Then we were stuck waiting for the window so we could put in more cabinets.

So I took some cardboard to the recyclers.   Jeff wanted to be able to park in the garage again...

The window came last Thursday.   I won't bore you with all the construction details.    Here's what it looks like now:

Bwa ha ha ha!    A Laboratory!

I like this series.   Coming up the stairs.     Please excuse my unfinished toekicks.

The dishwasher is ordered.   It will go where that white cabinet is.   The one next to it is a trash/recycling pullout.

It's really open and cheery now.   I am going to take down the old cabinets someday, but for now they are coming in handy.

There are many more piles to be managed.

O

The pantries turned out nice too.    I am ordering a new fridge today.
